Krsna, the supreme purusa, is thus "born" into this microcosmic world of the neural entities, within this great respiratory lotus (hrdaya kamala). He acts in the manner of the neurons, playfully imitating their work, partaking of their "food," etc. He thus appears in the manner of a "man," a typical neural entity; and, in doing so, he also mimics the material man (of the external world).
